It is known that director Nag Ashwin of Yevade Subramanyam is planning to make a biopic on legendary actress Savitri, titled Mahanati. From a past few days, it is being heard that Keerthy Suresh has been roped in as the lead actress in the film. But it was confirmed officially, though. Meanwhile, Samantha is also playing a key role in this movie.
Samantha will be the narrator of this movie. Apparently, Sam will play the role of a journalist who will be writing a book on Savitri’s life. Initially, Sam was approached for the lead role but she turned it down as she has to gain weight for it. But as she liked the script, she asked the makers that she will do the journalist’s role.
