DYK THIS star hero’s daughter danced on the road for ₹2500

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar who is daughter of veteran actor Sarathkumar has made a name for herself without relying on her father’s fame. She worked hard to establish her own identity in the South Indian film industry, acting in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada movies.

Varalaxmi made her acting debut with the Tamil movie Podaa Podi directed by Vignesh Shivan. In the film she played the role of a dancer and impressed everyone with her performance. She later acted in notable films like Tharai Thappattai, Vikram Vedha, Sandakozhi 2, Sarkar and Maari 2.

Recently Varalaxmi shared an emotional story on a reality show. She revealed that during her struggling days, she danced on the road for ₹2500 to earn money.
“I never told anyone about this before. I was waiting for film opportunities and had to dance on the road for just 2500. That was the beginning of my journey,” she said.

Though she didn’t become a top heroine, Varalaxmi impressed audiences with her versatile performances. She played strong characters and villain roles, winning appreciation for her acting skills. Currently Varalaxmi is acting in the film Jana Nayagan starring Vijay. She is also looking forward to more challenging roles in the future.
