Nayanthara’s ₹18 Cr remuneration drops to shocking new figure
Lady Superstar Nayanthara, one of the top actresses in South Indian cinema, is all set to return to Telugu films in 2025. She has signed a new movie opposite Megastar Chiranjeevi, which will be directed by Anil Ravipudi. This film is being planned as a full-on entertainer and is expected to hit the screens during Sankranthi 2026.
Nayanthara, who usually charges between Rs. 10 to Rs. 12 crore per movie, surprised the film team by initially demanding Rs. 18 crore for her role in this new project. Her high quote became a major talking point in the Telugu film industry, especially since she was previously paid Rs. 10 crore for her role in Godfather, also starring Chiranjeevi.

After several rounds of discussions, the makers were able to convince Nayanthara to reduce her fee. As per industry sources, she finally agreed to do the film for Rs. 6 crore. A short promotional video featuring her was recently shot in Chennai and is expected to be released soon to kick off promotions.
Fans are thrilled about this upcoming film, and the hashtag #ChiruAnil is already gaining momentum online. Apart from Nayanthara, actress Catherine Tresa has been roped in for a key role as the second lead. The movie is set to begin shooting on May 22 in Hyderabad.
