అందరూ వ్యాక్సిన్లు వేయించుకోవాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాను అని పేర్కొంది. కాగా దేశంలో కరోనా కేసులు తీవ్రమవుతున్న నేపథ్యంలో సినీ ఇండస్ట్రీలోనూ కోవిడ్‌ కేసులు పెరుగుతున్నాయి. ఇప్పటికే మహేశ్‌బాబు, మంచు లక్ష్మీ, సత్యరాజ్‌, రాజేంద్రప్రసాద్‌, త్రిష సహా పలువురు కరోనా బారిన పడిన సంగతి తెలిసిందే.

Television and film shoots came to a halt after Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray announced a lockdown in the state due to rising Covid-19 cases. However, now the entertainment industry can take a sigh of relief. In a special meeting today, June 6, with all governing bodies of the media and entertainment industry, CM Thackeray shared the unlock plan.

The CM clarified that the regular shoots cannot resume and all shoots will have to happen during the restricted timings and in bio bubbles as proposed in the unlock Mumbai plan. Mumbai comes in Level 3 and shoots will be permitted for a limited time with fewer crew members and in bio bubbles.

The governing bodies of the entertainment industry argued that all shoots have a regular timing of 12 hours to churn out episodes. They said that the limited timings would hamper the telecast of content, especially TV shows. They have made a special request for the 7 am to 7 pm shift. However, the request is still pending with the CM.

CM Thackeray also insisted that vaccination should be in place for all associated with the media and entertainment industry by the next two months. So, now with new standard operating procedures, the producers have a choice to start shoots in Mumbai with restricted timing and bio bubbles.

TV shows that are being shot outside Mumbai are most likely to resume shooting in Mumbai from next week. However, the choice lies with the producers if they would like to continue shooting outside Mumbai or return and follow the protocols.

Paramount Pictures on Thursday temporarily shut down production on the British set of Tom Cruise’s seventh Mission: Impossible film after someone tested positive for coronavirus. The film, which paused production for months early last year along with the rest of the film industry when the coronavirus pandemic took hold, is scheduled to be released in 2022. “We have temporarily halted production on Mission: Impossible 7 until June 14th, due to positive coronavirus test results during routine testing,” a Paramount spokesperson said in a statement. “We are following all safety protocols and will continue to monitor the situation.” The company provided no further details.In December, Cruise launched an expletive-laden rant at colleagues on the Mission: Impossible set, after he reportedly spotted two crew members violating social distancing rules. In audio released by the Sun tabloid, Cruise can be heard warning that anyone caught not following the rules to stay at least 2 meters (more than 6.5 feet) away from others will be fired.

All those who shied away from OTT projects in the past one year will have no answer, their films cannot be screened in the theatres in the near future and OTT is the only option. While the big stars have enough money to survive for generations, it isn’t the same case for the others. They can’t venture out, can’t speak to friends, and are not used to reading books and developing knowledge. All they do is browse filmi websites and watch films on Netflix and Prime. How long will they exercise and post videos on Youtube? Psychiatrists state that pessimism and negativity is more deadly than the virus. If there isn’t anyone who is willing to counsel them or give them a patient listening, they are close to sinking into a shell or develop some paranoid disorder or get into depression. Only family can and should understand their mood swings and give them enough love and support. Till theatres reopen, the stars will continue to wonder if they are beautiful enough, if people remember them and their films. Money won’t come that easily and in this lockdown they can’t think of anything constructive. The stars should not succumb to mood swings and think of some voluntary help to the covid affected people. Any small help will make them real life heroes.
