Anil Arora, the father of Bollywood actress Malaika Arora, passed away on Wednesday in Mumbai. According to reports, his death is suspected to be a suicide, although the reasons remain unclear. Mumbai Police are currently investigating the incident, and the body has been sent for post-mortem.

The tragic event occurred at Anil Arora’s residence in Bandra, where he allegedly jumped from the sixth floor of his building. Malaika Arora, her sister Amrita Arora, and several celebrities were seen arriving at the residence after the incident. Reports also indicate that Malaika’s parents had separated during her childhood, and her father had been living separately from her mother, Joyce Polycarp.

As per a statement from a police officer, “Anil Arora lived on the sixth floor. We are carrying out a detailed investigation and considering all possible angles. His body has been sent for post-mortem, and further investigation is ongoing.” The police also noted that no suicide note was found at the scene.

Malaika was reportedly out of town when the news of her father’s death broke. She was in Pune and rushed back to Mumbai after learning about the incident. Initial reports claimed it was an accidental fall rather than suicide, with family members expressing shock as Anil Arora had no known health issues.

In the past, Malaika has spoken about her difficult childhood following her parents’ separation. She once shared that her parents’ divorce had a profound impact on her, shaping her independent personality. Speaking in an interview, she said, “My childhood wasn’t easy, but it taught me important lessons. After my parents separated, I observed my mother’s strength and resilience. These lessons have stayed with me, helping me to become fiercely independent.”

This tragic incident has left Malaika and her family in deep shock. Fans and well-wishers have been sending their condolences during this difficult time.
