Recently, the team of Geetha Govindam held a success party on August 19 in Hyderabad which saw Megastar Chiranjeevi as the chief guest. Chiranjeevi congratulated Vijay for his histrionics and went on to add that, the film had now made him into a star that is being lapped up by all the sections of the audience. Megastar spoke about Vijay’s transformation from Arjun Reddy character to a sober and sincere guy in Geetha Govindam. He then reminisced about his film Vijetha which too had a similar genre of Vijay’s film. Explaining further he said, at a time when he was doing action films, Vijetha came in, adding though he was sceptical but signed the film as it was a family movie. He made these comparisons with Vijay’s film which is also a family film, thus helped in breaking his earlier role.
