Despite Divyanka Kaushik getting a hit with Majili, she was not approached by many filmmakers. This is perhaps the right time and opportunity has come knocking on her doors. Ajay Bhupati’s casting for Maha Samudram is nearing completion and Divyanka Kaushik will be playing Sharwanand’s girlfriend. It will be another gangster movie for Sharwanand. A formal announcement is yet to be made by the production house. Ajay Bhupati shot to fame with RX 100, it was a blockbuster and gave a break to all the cast and crew involved.
The director, who is a protégé of Ramgopal Verma took time to come up with a story and even approached Samantha and Naga Chaitanya with a narration. After a lot of dilly dallying, Samantha gave up the thought of working in it and Naga Chaitanya was busy with many projects. The director moved on and picked Sharwanand. The film will go to the sets once the actor’s Sreekaram’s patchwork and post production is done. As far as Divyanka is concerned, we hope it isn’t another cameo and she gets to do some substantial stuff as in Majili.
