Akhanda 2 creates buzz with big OTT bidding war

Akhanda 2 is one of the most eagerly awaited films in Telugu cinema. Starring Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role, the movie is directed by Boyapati Srinu and is a sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Akhanda. The original film was a massive success and the biggest hit of Balakrishna’s career, which has naturally raised the hype around the sequel.

The buzz around Akhanda 2 OTT rights is creating major excitement in the film industry. Top OTT platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are showing strong interest in acquiring the digital rights. Reports suggest that the producers are quoting a record price of ₹100 crore for the OTT deal. This unexpected pricing has surprised many, but it also reflects the strong confidence in the film’s potential.

The demand is also fueled by Balakrishna’s recent success with Bhagavanth Kesari, which did well both at the box office and on Netflix. The movie crossed ₹150 crore in collections and stayed among the top trending titles in India. This success has only added to the anticipation for Akhanda 2.

Produced by Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner, the film is being made on a big budget of over ₹150 crore. Balakrishna’s daughter Tejaswini is also involved in the project as a presenter. The team is planning every move strategically to ensure maximum returns through OTT and theatrical releases.

The movie promises grand action scenes, emotional drama, and a powerful performance by Balakrishna. Director Boyapati Srinu is known for his mass action entertainers, and he’s bringing the same energy here. Music is composed by Thaman, and Aadhi Pinisetty plays the main antagonist.

The makers have set the release date for September 25, during the Dasara festival season. Some key scenes are also being filmed in the Himalayas and during the Maha Kumbh Mela, adding a unique visual appeal.
