Sakshi Vaidya is the female lead in Akhil Akkineni’s commercial action potboiler ‘Agent’. Ahead of the film’s theatrical release, Sakshi Vaidya was in Hyderabad to chat with media persons on Thursday.
Sakshi heaped praises on Tollywood saying that the people in the industry are so welcoming. “We have this notion against big stars that they’ll not talk to you. From the background that I come from, I’m a novice. But, my co-star Akhil is exactly the opposite of the notion in the industry. He is like Nagarjuna sir. Akhil is very humble, I learnt so much from him. Tollywood is so welcoming, people haven’t seen my performance yet. But they’ll surely like me when they get to watch the film in theatres.”
Before taking a plunge into the film industry, Sakshi Vaidya worked in television commercials such as TVS XL 100. A physiotherapist by profession in Mumbai, Sakshi says she is not bothered with her screen time in ‘Agent’. She says, “It’s the best deal for any beginner like me who comes into the industry. As a beginner, I realised what kind of hard work goes on behind the sets. It was very easy for an audience to comment, hey this is not good, that was awful. Filmmakers and technicians had to shoot on different terrains, spend sleepless nights, and get hurt during the action sequences. I realised that you need to work aggressively hard if you want to change your life.”
