This Independence Day will witness a major clash at the box office. Three big films, Prabhas’ Saaho, Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal and John Abraham’s Batla House are locking horns on the same day. Among the three, Saaho is a big-budget flick which is made with more than Rs. 350 crores.
The makers of Saaho shelled out a huge amount of money hoping that Prabhas’ pan Indian stardom will fetch them the money in a few days. But he will be faced a serious threat in the form of Akshay Kumar. Generally, Akshay’s film does a business of 100 crores with ease.
As he enjoys huge stardom in North India, he might get maximum screen share in that part, compared to Saaho. The divide in screen count and Akshay’s stardom will definitely dent Saaho’s collections in North India. Thus, it has to get a unanimous positive talk to end up in profits zone in the north market.
