Andhra Residents Flay Modi Over Bifurcation Greeting

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Twitter greetings to the Andhra Pradesh residents have backfired on him. Modi’s tweet read, “Greetings to my sisters and brothers of Andhra Pradesh. I pray for the good health and prosperity of the people of the state”. While he rather tried to escape without mentioning the reason for his wish in his Tweet as it was on that day that then united Andhra Pradesh got bifurcated.

 

 

Tweeple took strong objection to his tweet and condemned him for not fulfilling his electoral promise of granting Special Category Status to AP and a railway zone to Visakhapatnam. A tweeter user wrote, “But why greeting? There is a very good saying… helping hands are better than praying hearts.. try to be the former.. and we all know that you are now doing the later”. Meanwhile, Modi wished Telangana who celebrated its formations day. “On their Statehood Day, my best wishes to the people of Telangana. May the dreams and aspirations of the people of the state be fulfilled in the years to come,” his tweet read.

Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu is observing Nava Nirmana Deeksha. It may be recalled that TDP was an alliance to BJP, but from the last few months owing to strong opposition from the people and Opposition parties, TDP had a fallout with the BJP. Chandrababu has also received flak from the Opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for his dubious nature on SCS.
