Though it successfully completed its theatrical run long back in both Tamil and Telugu, Bichagadu is still ruling the hearts of people, but now on the small screen. The Tamil version of this film, Pichaikaran, was premiered last week on Sun TV and garnered massive TRP ratings of 24.55.
This is the highest ever rating for a movie in the South India. It crossed films like Sri Ramadasu (24), Magadheera (22), Baahubali(21.84) and Srimanthudu (21.24) to achieve this record. Meanwhile, other Tamil films are nowhere close to this kind of ratings. Incidentally, even Bichagadu gained 18.75 points when it was premiered on Gemini TV and became the dubbed film to get highest TRP ratings.
