Bichagadu can be easily called as the surprise hit of the year. Originally made in Tamil as Pichaikaran, it fared reasonably well in Kollywood. But when it got dubbed in Telugu, it crates wonders at box-office and ran for over 125 days in Telugu days. Producer who bought the rights for Rs. 40 lakhs has got profits around Rs. 20 crores. Such is the storm created by this film at the box office.
The film even ruled Television charts also. It was premiered a couple of weeks back in Gemini TV and scored 18.75 TRPs making it stand in the 8th position of all time highest TRP rated films. This is the first dubbed film to get such a huge TRPs in Telugu. Anyway, this beggar has not only ruled silver screen but also the small screen.
