These days, the success rate of biopics is raised to a higher extent in Indian Cinema. They also enter 100 crore clubs. While Bhaag Milkha Bhaag collected over Rs. 102 crores, the recent film MS Dhoni: The Untold Story collected more than Rs. 125 crores. Now, there are more expectations on another upcoming biopic, Dangal, starring Aamir Khan.
Meanwhile, Bollywood makers are now eyeing the life story of another sports person to make a biopic. She is none other than 2000 Sydney Olympics bronze medallist Karnam Malleshwari. Karnam Malleshwari is the only Indian who got a medal in that Olympics. Born and brought up in a poor family from a village in Srikakulam district, Malleshwari faced so many hardships to reach the Olympics. Currently, a lady named Sanjana Reddy is researching the life of Malleshwari. Makers are considering to rope in Sonakshi Sinha for the role. An official confirmation might be released soon.
