Chandramukhi 2 to Iraivan Latest OTT releases

In today’s world of online streaming, many families gather to watch the latest content on OTT platforms during the weekends. This means that not only movies but also the OTT platforms themselves are in fierce competition with each other.

This past week, several horror and other films were released on OTT platforms. These included Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut’s Chandramukhi 2, Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara’s Iraivan, Sudheer Babu’s “Mama Mascheendra,Srikanth Addala’s Peddha Kapu 1 and a small film called Changure Bangaru Raja.

While many movies struggle at the traditional box office, they often find a more forgiving audience on OTT platforms. Viewers in the comfort of their homes tend to appreciate even average films.

However, this week’s releases didn’t fare well. All the films mentioned above performed poorly at the box office, and the response from the digital audience was no different.
In particular, Chandramukhi 2 was a disappointment on OTT, with viewers expressing their disbelief and frustration. Kangana Ranaut’s performance in the film was heavily criticized.

Sudheer Babu’s Mama Mascheendra didn’t do any better, as many viewers couldn’t even sit through the first 20 minutes of the film. Nayanthara’s horror-crime thriller Iraivan was also considered unbearable by OTT audiences.

Even Peddha Kapu 1, which had received favorable reviews during its paid premieres, failed to impress after its OTT release. While it was technically well-made, it left the audience feeling unsatisfied. In summary, this week’s OTT releases didn’t offer horror but turned out to be disappointing films instead.
