It is a known fact that Megastar Chiranjeevi showed interest in starring in the remake of the movie ‘Lucifer’, later released as ‘GodFather’ featuring him. However, before the movie commenced, it is heard that Chiranjeevi went through a lot of hardship to find a director. He attempted to find the right director for the project but faced difficulties in doing so. Initially, he thought VV Vinayak would be suitable, but the script Vinayak presented didn’t meet Chiranjeevi’s expectations. Consequently, he continued his search.
Another talented writer and director, Harish Shankar, was approached for the project. Harish Shankar had previously expressed his eagerness to work with Chiranjeevi. However, when offered the opportunity to direct the remake of ‘Lucifer’, Harish Shankar politely declined.
Later on, it is said that Harish Shankar met Chiranjeevi personally and assured him of a powerful script meant for the Megastar. Harish Shankar Shankar expressed his willingness to collaborate with Chiranjeevi once he finished directing Pawan Kalyan’s film.
At that time, Harish Shankar had plans to direct ‘Ustaad Bhagath Singh’ and unfortunately had to turn down the chance to direct his favorite hero, Chiranjeevi. Unfortunately, his project with Pawan Kalyan also got shelved due to Pawan’s commitments.
Currently, Harish Shankar is fully focused on Ravi Teja’s upcoming project, set to begin production in the middle of this year. Despite missing out on directing Chiranjeevi and facing setbacks with Pawan Kalyan’s project, Harish Shankar remains dedicated to his work and is looking forward to his upcoming collaboration with Ravi Teja.
