Who can forget the peppy, foot-tapping number, Choli Ke Peeche Kya hai starring Madhuri Dixit. The popular song from Khalnayak showed Madhuri and Sanjay Dutt’s crackling chemistry. It was also widely popular that Sanjay at one time, wanted to marry his co-actor Madhuri, however, it never happened. Now, its filmmaker Subhash Ghai, on the sidelines of the 5th Veda Session organised by Whistling Woods International Film Institute, opened up on how the chemistry was weaved in.
“We didn’t try to create chemistry while working with them. I think script, characterisation and director of the film develops a chemistry because before that we are also not able to get the idea of how the end result of the film will be. People never thought there will be chemistry between Dilip Kumar and Raj Kumar in ‘Saudagar’. So we do not know, as finally, what appears onscreen can be called chemistry.”
The duo is uniting for Karan Johar’s Kalank, which is being helmed by 2 States fame director Abhishek Varman.
