Telugu industry is known for making the high budget flick. A star hero’s film is made on an average budget of Rs. 40 crores here. But the trend has been changing since last one year as we have seen few movies which did wonders at the box office and were made on a shoestring budget.
Kshanam and Pelli Choopulu fall under this category. Both the films were made within Rs. 1.5 crores and minted ten times more of it at the box office. Actor Sumanth followed the same strategy. His latest film Naruda Donoruda was made in one crore rupees. As his home banner is producing the flick, he didn’t even take remuneration and most of the film was shot in Annapurna Studios itself. Sumanth is pinning lots of hopes on this film. The film is hitting screens tomorrow.
