Dragon OTT:
The Tamil comedy-drama Dragon starring Pradeep Ranganathan, hit theaters on February 21, 2025. Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, the film was well-received by audiences and even got appreciation from superstar Rajinikanth. Now it is all set for its digital premiere.
Netflix has secured the streaming rights, and Dragon will be available on the platform from March 28, 2025. The film will be accessible in multiple languages, including Tamil, Hindi and Telugu allowing a wider audience to enjoy the story.
The movie follows the life of D. Ragavan who is a brilliant computer science student who wins a gold medal. He falls for Anjana but she rejects him for being too studious preferring rebellious boys instead. Heartbroken, Ragavan undergoes a drastic transformation, adopting the name “Dragon” and leading a reckless life. He fails multiple subjects and is eventually expelled from college.
To maintain his family’s trust, Dragon lies about having a job while depending on his girlfriend, Keerthi. When she leaves him for financial stability, he forges a degree and secures a well-paying corporate job. Over time, he excels in his career and even gets engaged to Pallavi. Just before his transfer to the US, his past catches up with him—his fake degree is exposed, and he is given three months to clear all his failed subjects.
Dragon initially resorts to cheating again, but when his actions harm an innocent classmate, guilt takes over. He finally confesses his mistakes, serves time in prison, and later starts afresh, choosing honesty. With hard work, he rebuilds his life and finds love again.
