Generally, ETV doesn’t buy any movie’s satellite rights by shelling out crores of money. That is one of the rules followed by the chairman Ramoji Rao. That’s the reason why ETV doesn’t buy the right of big releases. But it seems that the channel has finally changed its route.
If the latest buzz is anything to go by, ETV has bagged the satellite rights of King Nagarjuna’s upcoming film Om Namo Venkatesaya for a whopping 12.5 crores. That is biggest in the career of Nagarjuna. The reason behind ETV spending so much money on this movie might be the recent red-hot form of Nag and also his previous record with Raghavendra Rao in making super hit devotional flicks like Annamayya and Sri Ramadasu.
