Financiers back out from 7th Sense

7th Sense is not happening anymore. The production was stopped in the second week of September itself after its UAE financier suddenly backed out of the project. The whole 100+ cast and crew comprising the actors, director, technical team, cinematographers, production designer and ADs were put up in isolation in Dubai’s leading 5-star fashion hotel for one month and recently returned to India.

7th sense shelved They barely shot for around 10 days before the project was put on the back burner. The R Madhavan, Rohit Roy, Vijay Raaz, Elli AvrRam, Aashim Gulati and Dibyendu Bhattacharya starrer mystery thriller was supposed to mark Doshi’s return to the film business after a break of nearly 17 years. Producer Gaurang Doshi had produced Aankhen in 2002 and Deewar in 2004.

7th senseThey had planned to shoot for 7th Sense from September followed by Line of Fire (starring Jimmy Sheirgill, Prakash Raj, Vijay Raaz and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayub) from the end of October but the sudden exit of the Emirati businessman and other financiers has left both the projects shelved. Although it’s yet unknown why his financiers pulled out of the show, sources say this whole incident has almost bankrupted Gaurang Doshi. He somehow managed to bring back his crew members to Mumbai but is now financially kaput with lots of dues to actors and various production teams still pending.
