‘I am happy enough to retire..’: Rashmika Mandanna

Rashmika Mandanna, a prominent actress in Indian cinema, recently expressed her immense happiness about being part of the historical drama Chhaava. At the trailer launch event, Rashmika shared her deep satisfaction with the film, saying it is a dream project that makes her feel content enough to retire.

She stated, “This film is something I could ask for in this lifetime. After working on Chhaava, I feel happy enough to retire.” Rashmika also praised her co-star, Vicky Kaushal, who portrays Maratha King Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. She was visibly moved by the trailer and described Vicky’s performance as “incredible,” even calling him “almost like a god.”

Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava is based on Shivaji Sawant’s novel about the life of Sambhaji Maharaj, focusing on his journey after his father, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s demise. Rashmika plays the role of Maharani Yesubai, while Akshaye Khanna portrays Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. The film features a talented ensemble cast, including Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, and Diana Penty.

Initially scheduled for release in December 2024, the movie will now premiere on February 14, 2025. Despite facing a recent injury, Rashmika attended the event with a fractured leg, demonstrating her dedication.

Apart from Chhaava, Rashmika has an exciting lineup of films. She is set to star in Kubera alongside Dhanush and Nagarjuna Akkineni, directed by Sekhar Kammula. She will also feature in projects like Sikandar with Salman Khan and Thama.
