Indian 3 on OTT? Here’s what Shankar said
Shankar’s iconic film series, Indian, which stars Kamal Haasan is moving forward with a third installment Indian 3. While the first part of the series was a massive success, the second film, Indian 2 did not perform well at the box office. This has created uncertainty about the future of Indian 3.
In a recent interview with Cinema Vikatan, Shankar opened up about the delays in the production of Indian 3. He mentioned that the movie is nearly complete, with just a few portions and a song left to be filmed. Shankar also shared that work on Indian 3 will begin once his upcoming film, Game Changer, is released.

However, the release of Game Changer has faced some challenges. The producers of Indian 3 even approached the Tamil Film Producers Council to delay Game Changer, citing unfinished work on Indian 3. Despite these issues, Shankar confirmed that Indian 3 will have a regular theatrical release. This puts to rest rumors that the film might skip theaters and go directly to OTT, a possibility raised due to the disappointing response to Indian 2.
Shankar’s statement reassures fans that Indian 3 will make its way to theaters, but its release timing will depend on the success and finalization of Game Changer.
