Malayalam actor Vinayakan, who recently appeared in a film Jailer with Rajinikanth, has a history of causing trouble off-camera. In a recent incident, he was taken into custody at the Ernakulam police station in Kochi due to alleged misbehavior while intoxicated.
Reports suggest that Vinayakan showed up at the police station after consuming alcohol and disrupted normal activities with his words and actions. The police filed a complaint against him and ordered a medical examination.
It seems that the actor had called the police seeking to resolve a personal dispute with his wife. Both parties were interviewed by the police, with a female inspector present, as required by the law. Feeling that the inspector favored his wife, Vinayakan became upset and argued with her at the police station.
Upon entering the station, the actor was initially fined for smoking. However, his arguments with the station staff escalated, leading to his use of abusive language, which further complicated the situation.
Suspecting alcohol influence, the police sent Vinayakan to Ernakulam General Hospital for a detailed assessment, which confirmed his alcohol consumption.
A video circulating online captures the events at the police station. In his conversation with the media, the actor appears unaware of the reason for his arrest and detention. This isn’t the first time he has been involved in such incidents. Previously, after former CM Oommen Chandy’s passing, he made insensitive remarks that resulted in a mob attacking him at his home. Earlier this year, Indigo Airlines had filed a complaint against him for verbally abusing a fellow passenger during a Goa-Kochi flight.
