Jr NTR’s dream project with star director faces fan backlash
NTR has often said that working with Tamil director Vetrimaaran is his dream. He has expressed this desire many times, especially during the promotions of Devara. NTR has always admired Vetrimaaran’s films like Vada Chennai and Asuran, known for their gritty and hard-hitting stories. Vetrimaaran recently confirmed that he might start working with NTR in a couple of years. He will first complete his current projects.
However, a controversy has now raised concerns. Fans of NTR have issued a strict warning. They are urging him to stay away from Vetrimaaran. This warning is because of the recent backlash over a film produced by Vetrimaaran, titled Bad Girl. The teaser for the movie was launched recently. It received heavy criticism from a section of the audience. Many people have accused the filmmakers of disregarding cultural values. They say the movie challenges sensitive themes and societal norms.
The film’s portrayal of a Brahmin woman as the protagonist has sparked outrage. Some filmmakers have questioned why Brahmin families are often targeted. This is not the first time Vetrimaaran’s work has stirred controversy. His previous movie, Viduthalai, was criticized for glorifying Naxalism. He has also made films that hurt Hindu sentiments. One of his films depicted characters eating cow meat, which many viewers found offensive.
Fans have warned NTR that if he works with Vetrimaaran, it will hurt his career. They believe his reputation as an actor will be damaged. They feel that working with Vetrimaaran would lead to backlash from the right wing. Some fans even called Vetrimaaran a “venomous” director. They are asking NTR to reconsider his decision. It remains to be seen whether NTR will go ahead with the project.
