Kaala To Release In 130 Screens In Karnataka Amid Protests

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kaala will release in 130 screens in Karnataka on June 7, as per reports by Ramesh Bala, an entertainment trade analyst and tracker. The High Court has also ordered for additional security to avoid protests and violence. The Thlaivar also appealed to Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy, in which he said, “I understand HD Kumaraswamy’s situation. This is not good for Karnataka. When the film is released around the world, the Karnataka ban would highlight the issue. The Film Chambers is supposed to ensure that there’s no problem for distributors. It is not right that the Karnataka Film Chamber demands Kaala ban.”

Rajinikanth Comments On Cauvery Brewed Storm

For the uninitiated, Rajinikanth comments on Cauvery issue has kicked up a storm which had hurt the sentiments of pro-Kannada fringe groups. The Superstar urged for the Karnataka government to follows Supreme Court diktat and realise the water share to Tamil Nadu. “Some people are protesting against Kaala in Karnataka. I only talked about the SC order on Cauvery and asked Karnataka to ensure it’s implemented. What is wrong in that? Even the KFCC seems to be in favour of the ban. The distributors and exhibitors all have to be brought together by KFCC to ensure a film’s release. If the movie does not release in Karnataka then the entire world will come to know. They will see the reason behind it. It is not good for Karnataka,” his statement read.
