Kantara Actress Files Defamation Case Against Actor’s Wife
Sapthami Gowda, the talented actress who became famous with the Kannada movie Kantara, has found herself in the middle of a serious controversy. Known for her strong performance in a de-glamour role in Kantara, Sapthami later acted in The Vaccine War, a Hindi film directed by Vivek Agnihotri. Both films brought her recognition and new opportunities in the film industry.
Recently, Sapthami filed a defamation case against Sridevi Byrappa, the wife of actor Yuva Rajkumar, who belongs to the popular Shivrajkumar family in Karnataka. The issue began when Sridevi made serious allegations against her husband and Sapthami.
Sridevi accused her husband of having an illegal relationship with Sapthami Gowda. She claimed that when she went to the United States, Sapthami and Yuva stayed together. She even told the court through her lawyer that Yuva was trying to remove her from their home for the sake of Sapthami. These statements quickly caught public attention.
Upset by these accusations, Sapthami took legal action. She filed a petition in court asking for a ban on Sridevi from making such damaging remarks. Sapthami stated that the comments made by Sridevi were false, baseless, and hurt her reputation. She asked the court to stop Sridevi from speaking negatively about her in public or media.
The case became a hot topic in the Kannada film industry, especially because it involved a well-known film family. Sapthami, however, continues to focus on her film career and is busy with back-to-back Kannada projects.
