When KGF was made, it was meant for Kannada audience. The unit did not have all India ambitions. So, the film was exclusively meant for the Kannada audience. But, pre-release trailer has given so much hype that the film did extremely well in Bollywood and Tollywood. The collections rose and all films released alongside KGF had failed. Such was the craze for the film.
KGF was the most talked about South Indian film after Baahubali. Now, there are plans to bring a sequel to this film. It will be titled KGF Chapter 2. It is now being said that Sanjay Dutt will play a key role in this film. The unit sources say that KGF 2 will surpass Baahubali and will have actors from various languages. It will be more a South Indian film rather than a Kannada film.
