Kuberaa Movie Duration Surprises Fans
The upcoming film Kuberaa starring popular actors Dhanush and Nagarjuna Akkineni, is set to hit the big screens on June 20, 2025. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sekhar Kammula, this social thriller has already generated a lot of buzz even before its release.
Censor Board Approval
Kuberaa was recently approved by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on June 9, 2025. The film has received a UA13+ rating and its official runtime is 195.27 minutes which is approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes. Reports suggest that the film may be trimmed slightly before its theatrical release, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
Storyline and Theme
The plot centers around a beggar whose life takes a sudden and dramatic turn as he starts chasing wealth and luxury. However, with riches come moral challenges, and the film highlights the emotional struggles, ambition, and greed of the characters. The narrative seems to be a reflection on how money can change people and test their values.
Star Cast
In addition to Dhanush and Nagarjuna, Kuberaa also features Rashmika Mandanna, Jim Sarbh, and Dalip Tahil in key roles. The movie has been shot in three languages simultaneously — Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, aiming for a pan-India appeal.
OTT Controversy
One of the major highlights surrounding the film is a statement made by co-producer Suniel Narang. He revealed that Amazon Prime Video, the film’s streaming partner, allegedly forced them to release the movie on time. He claimed that if the release was delayed, they would deduct ₹10 crore from the deal. This situation created controversy and added to the film’s pre-release hype.

While Dhanush is busy with other films like Idly Kadai and Tere Ishq Mein, Nagarjuna is all set to appear in Coolie, a film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and starring Rajinikanth.
