Laila OTT:
Vishwak Sen’s latest movie, Laila, hit the big screens on February 14, 2025. Directed by Ram Narayan, this action-comedy film has been the subject of much anticipation, especially with Vishwak Sen playing dual roles, including a woman. However, the film did not fare well with audiences, receiving negative feedback on social media. Despite this, it has secured an OTT release partner.
After its theatrical run, Laila will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. According to a report by OTTPlay, the film will have an early OTT release and is expected to be available on the platform within three weeks of its theatrical debut.
The movie’s plot centers around Sonu, whose reckless actions endanger an MLA’s life, causing public outrage. Both the police and a ruthless man, Rustum, pursue him. To escape, Sonu disguises himself as Laila, using quick thinking and charm to stay one step ahead of his pursuers. The trailer promises a blend of suspense and comedy, with Vishwak Sen’s transformation into Laila being one of the highlights.
Laila is written by Vasudeva Murthy and produced by Sahu Garapati under Shine Screens. Richard Prasad handles the cinematography, while Sagar Dadi is in charge of editing. The music is composed by Leon James. Vishwak Sen stars as Sonu, a barber and aspiring model, and his female disguise, Laila. The cast also includes Akanksha Sharma, Vennela Kishore, Ravi Mariya, Nagineedu and others in key roles.
