This Friday’s film releases are not generating much excitement among the audience. Two movies with a pan-Indian appeal are set to hit theatres. One is a Tollywood film called Skanda, directed by Boyapati Srinu, and the other is a Tamil movie titled Chandramukhi 2, directed by P Vasu.
Both films have struggled to create anticipation, even in their respective native languages. Skanda, in Telugu, and Chandramukhi 2, in Tamil, have failed to capture significant attention despite featuring well-known actors.
Even with Rama Pothineni in the lead role, Skanda has not piqued the audience’s interest. Similarly, Chandramukhi 2, starring Kangana Ranaut, has lacked effective promotion and, as a result, hasn’t generated much enthusiasm among cinegoers.
The fate of these movies at the box office now relies heavily on positive word-of-mouth. Without it, both films are at risk of underperforming and may struggle at the box office by the end of the weekend.
