Noted Malayalam star Kalinga Sasi passed away on Tuesday morning at the age of 59. According to reports, he dies in the wee hours who was battling with liver-related disease. He is survived by his wife Prabhavati. The last rites would be held later, woing to pandemic the gathering may be less.
Sasi original name was V. Chandrakumar, who was born in Kozhikode to Chandrasekharan Nair and Sukumari. He fist began his journey with being part of theater troupes then subsequently shifted to cinema. His first movie role came in 1998 movie Thakarachanda as Palanichami. He had also played the male lead in a movie called Hello Innu Onnaam Theeyathiyani, directed by Sahadevan Iyyakkad. One of his best performances was in the superstar Mammootty film, “Pranchiettan and the Saint” in 2010.
