Mohan Babu's big occasion in the film industry postponed

It’s a moment of joy for the fans of the Manchu family that Dr. M. Mohan Babu’s debut film in the lead role “Swargam Narakam”, which was released on November 22, 1975, has completed its 47 years on Monday.

Directed by iconic (late) Dasari Narayana Rao, this Telugu romantic drama continues to be one of the most memorable films. It was later remade into Bollywood as Swarg Narak, in Tamil as Sorgam Naragam. The movie also created a record by winning the Nandi Award for Best Feature Film.

Due to the ongoing mourning period in the Manchu family following the demise of Shri Manchu Ranganatha Naidu, younger brother of Dr. Mohan Babu on November 17th, any celebrations of the film’s historical success had not been held, though fans of the Manchu family could commemorate the occasion on a low-key. At the request of the fans and admirers, the celebrations will be planned at a later date.
