MAA (Movie Artists Association) is a non-profit organization formed in the year 1993, with the objective of safeguarding the welfare of film actors and technicians in Telugu cinema. The association offers a range of benefits and services to its members, including free health insurance for all members and their families, monthly pensions for eligible members, educational support for children of eligible members, and permanent residential housing options. The association is governed by a body that serves for three years, which includes a President, two Vice-presidents, General Secretary, Joint Secretary, Treasurer, and other Executive Committee members. The association’s foundation is based on promoting and preserving Telugu art, promoting growth and progress within the community, and instilling a sense of self-worth and pride within the members. MAA also works with external partners to establish development plans that receive support from the state. Overall, MAA’s objectives aim to improve the quality of life for its members and promote a sustainable future for the Telugu film industry.

 MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

The association provides free health insurance for all members and their families, offering them security and peace of mind in case of medical emergencies. This benefit is a testament to the association’s commitment to its members’ health and wellbeing. Tie-ups with hospitals such as KIMS, Continental, Apollo, Sunshine, and Asian Institute of Gastroenterology will be established for concessions in fees.

PENSION SCHEME

 WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

The MAA Movie Artists Association provides financial support to poor and eligible artists through the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme, offering a sum of Rs. 1.16 lakh. Additionally, they offer financial assistance to single mothers within the artist community, providing them with necessary support to help them manage their expenses and improve their financial stability.
