NRI student stabbed in Canada

In a tragic state, an NRI student Rachel Albert was stabbed in Canada. The 23-year-old student,  pursuing her Master’s degree from  York University, was stabbed by an unknown miscreant at her campus. She is undergoing treatment at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Although stable, but she continues to be in critical condition.

The victim’s family have sought help from External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and have urged him to help them travel to Canada where Rachel is fighting for her life.  Rebecca, Rachel’s sister says, “We’re not clear about how this incident took place. The need of the hour is for my family to get a visa to visit Rachel. The visa process is complicated. We are still figuring it out. We are seeking the help of the External Affairs Minister.”
