A petition has been filed in the Madurai court to assess director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s mental state. Raju Murugan from Madurai filed this request because he wants to stop the movie Leo, directed by Kanagaraj, claiming it has violent scenes. The petition also asks for a psychological evaluation of Kanagaraj.

starring Vijay mainly shows scenes that encourage violence, such as using weapons and showing symbols of religion. It also includes themes about drugs, violence against women and children. Furthermore, the petition accuses the film of portraying ideas that support illegal activities like riots, drug trade, and using guns. It suggests that the movie depicts a belief that any crime can be committed with police help.
The person filing the petition argues that movies like this should undergo a strict review by the censorship board. They believe Lokesh Kanagaraj should have a proper psychological assessment. Additionally, the petition demands a total prohibition of Leo according to Indian criminal law. The case, presented to judges Krishnakumar and Vijayakumar, got delayed because Kanagaraj’s legal representatives were not in attendance.
In December, Lokesh announced that he would take a break from social media. He expressed gratitude for the support for Fight Club, his first presentation under the G Squad banner.
