Superstar Rajinikanth issued an apology to the journalists on his Twitter handle on May 30. His Twitter handle write-up is in Tamil which loosely translates, “I have no intention of hurting anyone. If they feel so I render my apology and regret my outburst,” he said after being accused by journalists of justifying the police firing at Tuticorin against anti-Sterlite protestors which killed 13 people.

For the uninitiated. the Thalaivar met the press at the airport after his visit at disturbed Tuticorin where the locals were protesting against the shutdown of Sterlite factory. Apparently, the superstar when asked how he justifies the killing, he lost his temper and left in a huff.
