Ranbir Kapoor to follow footsteps of Prabhas

Excerpt : Ranbir Kapoor to undergo significant lifestyle modifications in preparation for his role as Lord Ram in Nitish Tiwari’s forthcoming film, Ramayan.

Ranbir Kapoor is reportedly making significant lifestyle changes for his role as Lord Ram in Nitish Tiwari’s upcoming film, Ramayan. Although he hasn’t officially confirmed his role yet, recent reports suggest that he is giving up meat and alcohol to embody the purity of the character he will portray. It’s also mentioned that the entire cast is receiving guidance to adopt a more self-restrained way of life as part of their preparation for the film.

In addition to Ranbir Kapoor, there are rumors that South Indian actress Sai Pallavi will play the role of Sita in the movie, and KGF star Yash will take on the character of Raavan.

According to an insider, Ranbir’s decision to abstain from alcohol and meat isn’t merely for public image but is driven by his dedication to portraying Lord Ram faithfully. The source emphasized that Ranbir is committed to feeling as pure and virtuous as Sri Rama for the role. Furthermore, it’s mentioned that Ranbir isn’t known for late-night partying or wild lifestyle choices.

It seems that Ranbir Kapoor is following in the footsteps of fellow actor Prabhas, who also made significant lifestyle changes for his role in Adipurush. Just like Prabhas, who underwent rigorous training and physical transformations, Ranbir’s commitment to giving up meat and alcohol to authentically portray Lord Ram in “Ramayan” showcases the dedication and preparation that actors are willing to undertake to do justice to their iconic roles.

Meanwhile, as per earlier reports from Pinkvilla, the filming of Ramayan is scheduled to begin in early 2024. Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi will start shooting in February 2024 for the first part of the trilogy, which will primarily focus on Lord Ram and Sita’s story, leading to the Sita-Haran conflict. The shooting is expected to continue until August 2024, completing the first installment of Ramayana: Part One. Additionally, it has been noted that the film’s visual effects will be handled by the Oscar-winning company DNEG.

On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The movie also stars Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Bobby Deol and is set to hit the screens on December 1st.
