Razakar teaser raises controversy on social media platforms

Recently, a teaser for a lesser-known Telugu film titled “Razakar” was unveiled, featuring relatively unfamiliar actors. This film delves into the historical events that transpired in Hyderabad under Nizam’s rule before its integration into the Indian Union in 1948.

However, this teaser, which depicts the tragic events of the Hindu genocide during that period, has sparked controversy. The teaser claims to draw inspiration from real-life incidents and portrays alleged atrocities committed against Hindus by the Razakars, who were purportedly driven by a desire to promote Islam and establish ‘Turkistan’ while keeping Hyderabad separate from a unified India.

The film adopts a bold and unflinching approach in showcasing the violence inflicted upon Hindus, akin to movies like ‘The Kashmir Files’ and ‘The Kerala Story.’ Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) expressed his concerns, suggesting that certain members of the BJP are making efforts to incite communal tensions and polarization for their political agendas in Telangana.
