Sujeeth starrer Saaho featuring Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor was supposed to hit the screen this Independence Day, August 15. However, the makers announced a new release date, that is August 30, owing to VFX due to delay in VFX. But looks like Saaho makers still have no clarity about the release date and may miss the August 30 date as well.
Apparently, is this date is also missed, then Saaho makers are eyeing for Vinayaka Chavithi. Since Mission Mangal and Batla Hous are set for release ahead of Saaho, it has given no competitions for Saaho, making the makers to capitalise most for the Hindi version.
Earlier we informed that Saaho, nearly 120 cars were used for the high-octane action flick and the makers teased the audience with few glimpses in the teaser. The action film involves many chasing sequences and that talk of the town is Abu Dhabi scene where the makers have also shelled out Rs 70 crore of the eight-minute sequence. For the Dubai episode, nearly 56 cars were used in chasing scene alone and also a special truck was built for this scene.
Roping in Prabhas for Saaho, director Sujeeth had said, “I did not feel the pressure to direct a big star like Prabhas. He has faith in me and my work and that matters the most to me. Also, the producers and the team members showed confidence in me. But now that the film is gearing for release in few months, I can feel the pressure,” Sujeeth said.
Sujeeth also revealed that Saaho script was planned and done before Baahubali. He says, “I had the script of ‘Saaho’, which was ready before ‘Baahubali’. I narrated him the story and he loved it.”
