THIS Actress Roped in for Vishwambhara Item Song

The upcoming mega movie Vishwambhara starring Chiranjeevi has been making headlines for months. Among many updates, one important issue in the film was the casting of the heroine for a special item song. Now, that problem is solved.

According to reports, Kannada actress Nishvika Naidu has been finalized for the item number. Though she is not widely known to Telugu audiences, Kannada movie fans will recognize her. She started her career in 2018 with the film Amma I Love You, which was the Sandalwood remake of Bichagadu. Since then, she has acted in more than nine films. She recently appeared in Karataka Damanaka alongside Shivrajkumar and Prabhu Deva.

Even though she was born and raised in Bengaluru, her family roots are from Telugu states. Director Vassishta seems to have selected Nishvika with a specific strategy, but what that is will be clear only after watching the song. The song is said to be composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, though the team has not officially confirmed it yet. The news was leaked, but production house UV Creations has remained silent without confirming or denying it.

Vishwambhara has already faced several delays. Now, the OTT and satellite rights are rumored to have been given to Amazon Prime and Zee Channel respectively, but there is no official word yet. Since July is ruled out for release, the next possible window is August. But that month is already packed with big movies like Kingdom, War 2, Coolie, and Ravi Teja’s Mass Jathara.

If Vishwambhara misses the August window, it may be pushed to September. However, that month too has major releases like Mirai, OG, and Akhanda 2. Director Anil Ravipudi, who plans to bring out Mega157 for Sankranthi, is firm on that plan. So the big question now is Will Vishwambhara release this year or not?

Hari Hara Veera Mallu Creates History in Tollywood

In Tollywood, it’s not unusual for films to get delayed. But Hari Hara Veera Mallu (HHVM), starring Pawan Kalyan, has become a special case. This film is now being called the most delayed project in Telugu cinema history.

The movie began more than five years ago, with grand plans and big expectations. Yet, till now, the film is not released. Critics and fans are now joking that Veera Mallu has broken all records for delays. Analysts are questioning how a project can go on for so long, despite multiple public announcements. Still, Pawan Kalyan fans continue to hope that the film will finally hit theatres and give them a visual treat.

The movie, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, is said to be a period action drama with lavish sets and high production value. But unless it reaches cinemas, all this remains just talk.

Only time will tell if Hari Hara Veera Mallu will release on July 24 or get postponed yet again.

In recent times, a big discussion has started in the Telugu film industry. They feel that OTT platforms are deciding too much and putting pressure on them to lock the release dates.

When a producer signs a deal with an OTT platform, they must also inform the exact date of the movie’s theatrical release. Based on that date, the OTT platform decides when to release the movie on their streaming platform. If the theatrical release date is delayed for any reason, then the OTT release also gets delayed. This causes problems for OTT platforms, as they plan their content and schedules in advance.

Because of this, OTT platforms are now pressuring producers to confirm the next possible release date. In some cases, the OTT companies are even suggesting a release date for the movie so they can stick to their streaming plans without any changes.

The actual problem is not with the OTT platforms. The real issue is with producers who keep changing or delaying the release dates. OTT platforms work with a tight schedule, especially since they stream content in multiple languages and countries. One of the biggest effects is on theatre attendance. Today’s audience prefers comfort and convenience. Instead of going out, facing traffic, and spending on tickets, many choose to wait for the film’s OTT release. This affects the opening weekend revenue, which is very important for a film’s success. In some cases, films are released on OTT platforms just a few days after their theatre run. This has also caused stress for producers, especially in industries like Telugu cinema, where release delays can bring penalties.

At the same time, Indian audiences are now used to high-quality content from around the world.
