Suzhal: The Vortex is returning with its second season, bringing another gripping crime thriller to audiences. Created by Pushkar and Gayatri, the first season was a huge hit on OTT platforms. With Season 2 set to premiere soon, here’s everything you need to know.
The new season of Suzhal: The Vortex will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video from February 28. The platform officially announced the release with the tagline, “Some storms never settle. #SuzhalS2OnPrime, New Season, Feb 28.”
This Tamil crime thriller will be released in multiple languages, including Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. It will feature eight episodes in total.

The lead cast includes Aishwarya Rajesh, Kathir, Saravanan, and Gouri Kishan. Other notable actors include Rini, Ashwini Nambiar, Abhirami Bose, Shrisha, Nikhila Sankar, Monisha Blessy, Samyuktha Vishwanathan, and Kalaivani Bhaskar. Additionally, Manjima Mohan and Kayal will make special appearances. The series is directed by Sarjun KM and Bramma, while Pushkar and Gayatri serve as the creators and writers.
The trailer reveals a mysterious murder case involving Chellappa, a respected lawyer and activist. His sudden death shakes the community and Sakkarai (played by Kathir) steps in to assist the family.
The story unfolds in Kaalipattanam during the Ashtakaali Festival, where hidden secrets from Chellappa’s past slowly come to light. Meanwhile, Nandhini played by Aishwarya Rajesh, faces an uncertain future in prison. Sakkarai, portrayed by Kathir, arrives in a village with a dark past. A shocking murder creates panic among the people, and as the investigation deepens, unexpected truths are revealed.
