Telangana's Chief Minister, KCR, has been embroiled in an electoral bond scam, where large sums of money were allegedly taken from companies in exchange for various favors. These favors ranged from lucrative government contracts to seats in the Rajya Sabha. One of the major companies involved is MEIL, which reportedly gave KCR a staggering 195 crores. In return, they secured the contract for the prestigious Kaliswaram project. Yashoda Hospital also allegedly paid KCR 94 crores and, in return, obtained land in the financial district.
