Meet Tollywood actress who dreamed of IAS before making it big in films
Raashi Khanna is a well-known actress in the Telugu, Tamil and Hindi film industries. But did you know that she once dreamed of becoming an IAS officer? Born on November 30, 1990, in New Delhi, Raashi was always a brilliant student. She excelled in school and college, making her family proud. Coming from a middle-class background, Raashi initially thought about pursuing a government job and even considered taking the civil services exams.
However, despite her hard work and training, Raashi did not succeed in her IAS aspirations. This setback led her to shift her focus to acting. Soon after, she entered the world of cinema and made her debut in the Telugu film industry with the movie Oohalu Gusagusalade. Her performance was well-received, and she quickly gained attention for her acting and beauty.
Raashi went on to act in several successful films, including Joru, Jill, Bengal Tiger, Supreme, and Hyper. She became known for her stunning looks and versatile acting. Though she became a star, her career did not see consistent hits. One reason for this might be the lack of opportunities to work with top heroes in the industry, except for NTR.
Despite some ups and downs in her career, Raashi also ventured into Bollywood. Unfortunately, her attempts there did not meet with much success, even after taking on roles involving bikini scenes and lip-locks. Still, she continues to work in Hindi cinema with upcoming projects like a web series and a film titled Yodha.
