As the general elections approach in Andhra Pradesh, the state is abuzz with campaigning activities from various political parties. Recently, two significant manifestos were unveiled, setting the tone for the upcoming electoral battle.

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) released its official manifesto, outlining its vision and promises for the state. Following suit, the alliance of Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Janasena Party also launched their joint manifesto.

The joint manifesto, unveiled at TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu’s residence in Undavalli, was a collaborative effort involving leaders from all three parties. Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, Siddharth Nath Singh, and other prominent leaders were present at the event.

The manifesto carries the slogan “We will meet today’s needs of the people of AP. We will realize tomorrow’s aspirations,” emphasizing the alliance’s commitment to address immediate concerns and foster long-term development.

Some key highlights from the joint manifesto include:

– Free travel for women in RTC buses.

– Provision of three free cylinders annually.

– Monthly allowance of Rs. 1,500 for women above 18 years.

– Monthly allowance of Rs. 3,000 for unemployed youth.

– Increase in disability pension to Rs. 6,000.

– Introduction of a special pension scheme for BCs.

– Increase in honorarium for volunteers to Rs. 10,000.

– Creation of 20 lakh jobs for youth over five years.

Other promises focus on agriculture, housing, welfare, and economic empowerment:

– Free tap connections to every household.

– Annual investment assistance of Rs. 20,000 for farmers.

– Subsidized electricity for aquaculturists.

– Allocation of land for housing to poor families.

– Implementation of special laws for the protection of BCs.

– Reinstitution of festive gifts.

– Crackdown on substandard liquor to control prices.

– Financial assistance and support for various occupational communities.

Additionally, the manifesto pledges to continue Amaravati as the capital, addressing concerns over its status.

These promises aim to address a wide range of issues affecting the people of Andhra Pradesh, from women’s empowerment to economic development and social welfare. As the election approaches, voters will scrutinize these manifestos to make informed decisions about the future of their state.
