Super hit producer Bogavalli Prasad, who made films with superstars like Pawan Kalyan (Attharintiki Daaredi), Prabhas (Chatrapathi) and Jr NTR (Nannaku Prematho), is planning a big ticket flick with Akhil Akkineni. The producer who is basking in the glory of his recent blockbuster ‘Tholi Prema,’ is reportedly thinking of making a refreshing love story with Akhil in the lead.
“It is true that Bogavalli had a couple of meetings with Akhil and both have agreed to come together in-principle, provided they get the right kind of script. The scion of Akkineni family has high regard for the star producer who gave blockbusters with Pawan Kalyan, Prabhas and Jr NTR and still raring to go,” says a source close to the production house.
Already, Bogavalli has began to work with Gen X actors and made films with Sharwanand and Varun Tej and now looking to team up with another 20-plus actor Akhil. “Bowing to the changing taste of the Telugu audience who are patronising new-generation stars and Prasad likes to do more films with them. However, he worked with leading stars as well,” he concludes. Maybe, Prasad’s luck will rub off on Akhil and enable the latter to deliver a resounding hit after damp squib like ‘Hello’.
