Cinema needs publicity for success. A spate of pressers and interviews are needed for publicity. But, NTR biopic maker Balakrishna thinks the biopic does not need any of these. He is said to have told that he would give publicity only in Eenadu, Andhra Jyothi and Sakshi. As an after-thought, he included Namaste Telangana as he did not want any trouble from the Telangana dispensation.

He reportedly said he did not need dailies like Andhra Prabha, Andhra Bhoomi and the Left papers. He has also decided not to hold press meets. For the TV channels, he would send a press meet recording involving Rana and be done with that. As for web portals, the filmdom does not care for them except for wailing over their exposing unpleasant truths about the industry.
They need the websites only when the film falls flat and needs some pushing up. They also do not want the web media for the simple reason that they would ask inconvenient questios about the TDP’s inglorious defeat in Telangana polls and Balayya’s campaign. They would also shoot off questions about the omission of political issues in the biopic. They are not like the print media, which can be managed easily.
