Tamil superstar Dhanush is also looking to join the trend of biopics. As per the speculations in the media, Dhanush is in talks to do the biopic of Indian chess Grandmaster Vishwanathan Anand. Not much has been spoken or told about this superstar in Chess. Bollywood filmmaker Anand L Rai who earlier made Raanjhanaa is planning a biopic on Vishwanathan Anand. The script work is in progress and the director wants a Tamil hero to play the lead role in the biopic.
Vishwanathan Anand comes from a Tamil community and the director feels that a Tamil hero would make justice for the film. Since he already worked with Dhanush, the director wants to get the actor on board. Dhanush is currently doing a film Atrangi Re, which is directed by Anand L Rai. The duo has discussed the project while working on the film. Dhanush is happy to do the film but he wants to put on some weight, after which the director will finalize the look. Dhanush currently has six films on hand and this biopic might take time to hit the floors.
