Daaku Maharaaj locks it’s official OTT date
Nandamuri Balakrishna and Bobby Deol’s action-packed film Daaku Maharaaj made a strong impact in theaters upon its release on January 12 during Sankranti. Directed by Bobby Kolli, the movie received a great response at the box office. Now, it is set to entertain audiences on digital platforms.
The much-anticipated action thriller will be available for streaming on Netflix from February 21. The OTT platform officially announced the release date, building excitement among fans.
The story of Daaku Maharaaj revolves around Krishnamurthy, a philanthropist who exposes illegal activities on his tea estate. His actions enrage MLA Trimurthulu Naidu, whose brother is involved in the crime. As threats loom, dacoit Daaku Maharaaj, disguised as a driver, safeguards Krishnamurthy’s granddaughter, Vaishnavi. A conflict with Bablu Singh Thakur leads Maharaaj to uncover a massive drug operation.
The film also traces the past of Sitaram, later known as Daaku Maharaaj. In 1992, he and his wife Kaveri fought against Balwant Singh Thakur’s exploitation of villagers. Following a tragic massacre, Sitaram transforms into a feared dacoit, dismantling Balwant’s illegal empire. With the help of Balwant’s wife, Nandini, he exposes the crime before ensuring the safety of Vaishnavi.
Years later, Balwant seeks revenge, but Maharaaj ultimately defeats him. After serving his sentence, he reunites with his family and fulfills Nandini’s dream by inaugurating a dam for the villagers.
Directed by Bobby Kolli, the film features a stellar cast including Nandamuri Balakrishna, Bobby Deol, Shraddha Srinath, Urvashi Rautela, and Pragya Jaiswal. The movie was produced by Sai Soujanya and Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, with music composed by Thaman S. The cinematography was handled by Vijay Kartik Kannan.
