Did Rashmika feel uncomfortable while shooting Peelings?
Rashmika Mandanna, known for her exceptional performance in Pushpa 2: The Rule, recently opened up about her discomfort while shooting the song Peelings. Despite the movie’s success and her growing fanbase, this particular track garnered criticism for its choreography.
In a conversation with Galatta Plus, Rashmika shared her struggles with the song, which was shot just days before the movie’s release. The shoot lasted five days, and Rashmika admitted she felt uneasy after watching the rehearsal video. She explained that she appeared to be dancing very closely with her co-star, Allu Arjun, which added to her discomfort.
Peelings is full vibe, full mass and more than anything else fulllll fun! 💃🏻🥳
This is by far the hardest song I’ve EVER shot for! 😲

Additionally, Rashmika revealed her fear of being lifted in the air. This phobia made the experience challenging since the choreography required her to be lifted multiple times. She remarked, “I have always had a fear of being lifted. Here, the entire song revolved around that, which made me think, ‘How will I manage this?’”
Despite her initial hesitation, Rashmika decided to trust the vision of her director and co-star. She understood that the song was an essential part of the film and worked hard to deliver her best. She explained, “As an actor, my job is to entertain and satisfy my director’s expectations. Overthinking my roles would limit me, and I want to avoid being typecast.”
When asked about the mixed feedback the song received, Rashmika acknowledged the criticisms but emphasized her focus on fulfilling her responsibilities as an actress. She mentioned that her primary goal is to deliver performances that align with her director’s vision, even if certain aspects might not resonate with everyone.
Looking ahead, Rashmika has a packed schedule with several exciting films in the pipeline. These include The Girlfriend, Chhaava, Sikander, and Kubera. Her dedication to taking on diverse roles continues to earn her admiration in the industry.
